The General Conference of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) started here today in Tunis its 24th ordinary session, with the participation of ministers of dducation of the Arab States along with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation was led by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, rotatory president of the former session. In a key speech, Dr. Al-Issa tackled a number of isses including the importance of education, culture and science in order to promote humanitarian work and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in the Arab world.
