The Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Syllouris has condemned the repeated terrorist attacks being carried out by Al-Houthi terrorist militias by using ballistic missiles on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's territories and targeting its civilian facilities and populated cities. This came during a meeting with the delegation of the Shura Council headed by Vice-Chairman of the Saudi-Cypriot Parliamentary Friendship Committee who is the member of the Council Engineer Ali bin Abdullah Al-Naim and his accompanying delegation's members who concluded their visit to Cyprus yesterday. Syllouris pointed out that the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is a wise country leading the Arab and Islamic world with wisdom and prudence towards stability, prosperity, tolerance and moderation. During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest and ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields were discussed. For his part, the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism who is also the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Yiorgos Lakkotrypis supported the steps being taken by the Arab coalition forces led by the Kingdom in combating terrorism and protecting its territory from whoever tries to harm its security. He expressed his country's keenness to strengthen relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citing in this regard the positive results of the visit paid by President Nicos Anastasiades of Cyprus to Riyadh in last January.
