Al-Jubeir Describes HRH Crown Prince's talks with US President as Fruitful and Enhancing of Cooperation Opportunities between two Countries

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubair, here as part of the official delegation accompanying His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, in his current official visit to the United States of America, affirmed that the talks the Crown Prince held with each of President of the United States Donald Trump, US Secretary of Defense, Members of US Congress, and Director of the International Monetary Fund were fruitful, noting the bilateral relations linking the two countries at all levels.
In a press conference held at the headquarters of the Saudi embassy in Washington today, Al-Jubair said "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America are seeking to develop a strong relationship between them to a higher level, and are working to enhance the opportunities for cooperation and investment between them to benefit both countries and peoples, and to meet the challenges that our region is experiencing, notably extremism or terrorism, dealing with Iran's activities in the region, supporting or rebuilding Iraq, reaching peace in Syria, improving the humanitarian situation in Yemen, and developing the Kingdom's capabilities to prevent the launching of ballistic missiles on its territory. "
Al-Jubair said that HRH the Crown Prince and US President talked about joint efforts to strengthen the situation in a number of countries outside the region such as stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the situation in Libya and the Sahel countries, as well as the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America with European partners and the leading role in support of the Group of Five countries in the region to counter extremism and Boko Haram group.
The two sides also discussed a number of areas related to enhancing the strong relationship between the two countries in the security fields and the exchange of intelligence to combat terrorism financing issues and combating intellectual extremism, Al-Jubair said.
He added that HRH the Crown Prince will complete his visit in the coming days to Boston, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Houston, as he will meet with a number of financiers, investment bankers, industry and technology leaders, and officials in the field of entertainment, while he will meet in Houston with officials in the field of oil and petrochemicals.
