German government demands Iranian regime respect rights of demonstrators

The German government demanded that the Iranian regime respect the rights of demonstrators in light of the protests currently taking place, according to to dpa.
"The German government is following with great interest reports of demonstrations in different cities in Iran," the German Foreign Ministry quoted the German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur as saying.
It called on the Iranian regime to respect the rights of the protesters and act wisely at the same time.
