At the invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President for Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), and in its annual meeting held on Sunday at the Culture Palace in Riyadh, the commission hosted Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Awad. The President of SCTH praised the minister and highlighted the activities of the SCTH and partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information. In turn, the minister spoke on the role of the media in highlighting the importance of the sectors of tourism and culture and the partnership between the Ministry of Culture and Information and SCTH. Dr. Awad Al-Awad spoke about the Kingdom's stereotype image abroad, indicating the investment of the most important tributaries to highlight the image of the Kingdom abroad, which are the soft power based on culture and arts and presenting the Saudi heritage in food, clothing and popular shows. Dr. Al-Awad also revealed the establishment of the Center for International Communication as one of the most important pillars of dealing professionally with the international media and as a Saudi link with the international media. The aim of the Center for International Communication is to be constantly and actively involved with the most important regional and international media, the minister stated.
