Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas confirmed here today that the city of Al-Quds is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine and it is insoluble against any attempt to assassinate its character or to falsify its history. Addressing the emergency session of the Pan-Arab parliament to discuss the fallouts of the US administration to recognizing the occupied city of Al-Quds as the capital of the existing occupying power Israel and relocate its embassy to Al-Quds, he considered US President decision as a flagrant aggression on the historical, legal and natural rights of the Palestinian people, an assault against their legitimate aspirations to secure freedom and independence and a violation of the Christians and Muslims' rights, as well, all over the world. The speech was delivered on behalf of the president by the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh Al-Malki, who went on to call the US decision as a predetermined decision to demise endeavors exerted to bring about peace, warning that it would consolidate extremism and consolidate racism and colonization of the occupied Palestinian territories, he added. Such a serious and grave decision aims at changing the legal status of Al-Quds, hence it is null and void, as it lacks any legitimacy because it is a flagrant violation to the international law, signed accords, international charters, UN relevant resolutions and defying world willingness and unanimity and should, immediately, be abolished, he demanded. It is not sufficient to say that, for we must face Judaization policy and the declared war against the Palestinian physical presence, he commented. We shall devise a mechanism for resistance on the ground, in order to be in close touch with the earth and contact with the people. He concluded by holding the US administration, fully, accountable for entire fallouts resulting from non-abrogation of such an illegal declaration and considered it as a withdrawal of the US administration form a role it was committing playing, during previous decades, in terms of sponsoring the peace process and a reward to Israel, in the state of occupying power that disregard international community's agreements and defying them, all together.
