Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, who is also chairman of the Saudi side at the Saudi-Russian Joint Committee, and Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Russian side at Saudi-Russian Joint Committee Alexander Novak signed here today a minutes of the 5th Saudi –Russian Joint Committee during the period 31 October – 2 November, 2017. This meeting aims to activate commercial and investment partnerships in addition to fields of cooperation of commercial, investment, banking, finance, energy, communications, information technology and the use of atomic energy and outer space for peaceful purposes. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, and Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak in presence of a number of Saudi and Russian senior officials. Following the meetings, the two sides expressed satisfaction with the fraternal and constructive atmosphere that prevailed in the meetings and bilateral relations between the two countries. They also stressed the importance of mutual visits and meetings between the political leaderships and officials in both countries in developing relations. Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, stressed that the Kingdom seeks to consolidate its commercial partnership with Russia.
