Dr. Al-Rabiah announces holding of forum for development of humanitarian work under auspices of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in February
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 29 - 10 - 2017

Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah today announced the patronage by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of a forum on the development of international humanitarian action in Riyadh from 8-10 Jumada II 1439 H. corresponding to 24-26 of February 2018 G., calling on everyone to participate in the activities of this humanitarian forum.
This came during the opening of today's High-Level Meeting to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Yemen at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh in the presence of a number of officials and those interested in humanitarian and humanitarian affairs in the world.
The meeting started with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Al-Rabiah gave a speech welcoming participants in this humanitarian meeting which aims to enhance the humanitarian response in Yemen, pointing out that this meeting confirms the importance attached by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people to the brotherly people of Yemen.
In the speech, he said, "This meeting reinforces the concern of the government and the nation of Saudi Arabia towards our brotherly nation of Yemen. Over the years, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have shared geographical, language, family, and strong economic ties, based upon mutual respect. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is leading the international humanitarian community in support of all of the people of Yemen, in all regions irrespective of beliefs and cultural affiliation. Over the past two-and-a-half years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has managed to support Yemen with more than (US$ 8.27) billion.
"King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has also executed 161 projects in Yemen with 85 United Nations, international, and regional partners, covering food security, nutrition, shelter, health, social support, and other important projects. In addition, KSrelief has given special attention and support to projects focusing on the needs of women and children, executing 68 projects for women and 80 for children."
