The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to chair the UNESCO Conference on Anti-Doping, as it won the post for the third consecutive year, at the beginning of 6th Conference of the Parties to the International Convention against Doping, in Sport, which was launched at the organization's headquarters in France yesterday, in the presence of the Deputy Director General of the UNESCO, and 16 ministers of youths and sports from around the world, the head of the International Anti-Doping Agency and the Ambassador of the Kingdom to UNESCO Dr. Ibrahim Al-Balawi, in addition to representatives of 188 countries. The conference, which ended today, witnessed the election of the president and vice presidents for the term from 2017 until the end of 2019. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Saudi Committee for Doping Control and Chairman of the UNESCO Conference of Anti-Doping Parties, Dr. Saleh Al-Qanbaz expressed happiness for the Kingdom's third victory for the presidency of the UNESCO Conference, pointing out that this confirms the position and weight of Saudi Arabia, at the international level.
