Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir stressed here today the need for Qatar to stop support and funding for terrorist activities, adding that terrorism cannot be defeated unless all countries commit themselves to fighting it. During a joint press conference with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Renders here today, following bilateral talks, Al-Jubeir said that "We want Qatar to stop support for terrorists, finance them and providing shelter to them, in addition to stop incitement through hate discourse, noting that the demands made to Qatar fall within these principles, which are approved by the countries of the world. We cannot fight terrorism if some support or incite it, we are determined to track down those who finance terrorism and look at ways to strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia and Belgium to look at ways to counter extremist ideology, he stated. On the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Belgium, the Foreign Minister said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appreciates bilateral relationship with the Kingdom of Belgium, expressing aspiration to expand and deepen them, in all fields, adding that the talks with his Belgian counterpart were constructive as they agreed on the need for an open and sincere dialogue on all issues, and deepen historical relations between the two countries. The talks dealt with many topics including the Vision of the Kingdom 2030, Al-Jubeir pointed out, indicating that it is a strategic vision for the future of the Kingdom, as well as the Middle East peace process, Iran's activities in the region, the situation, in Yemen and the need to increase humanitarian assistance to Yemen. For his part, the Belgian Foreign Minister said that he exchanged views with the Foreign Minister on the regional situation, in Yemen, Iraq and Syria, the Middle East peace process, the relationship with Iran and the crisis with Qatar, calling for resolving the crisis through dialogue and reaching a political solution, in Yemen.
