Marking the opening of Saudi masterpieces expo in S. Korea, Prince Sultan bin Salman Lays Emphasis on Relations between two great civilizations: Arab and Korea's
Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the President of Tourism and National Heritage Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia laid emphasis on the significant relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Korea, calling them as profound and historically distinct and adding that they are drawing the attention of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as a role model for cordial, constructive and outstanding relations among nations, in the world. Addressing the Trade Routes, the magnificent antiquities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through ages exhibition held at Korean national museum in the Korean capital Seoul today, in a keynote speech, Prince Sultan said the significance of this event is also that it is being held during the current era of King Salman, known of being fond of history, particularly the history of Arab peninsula population with east Asia. Prince Sultan bin Salman described Korea as a great nation, great people and great history. In remarks to the press following the opening ceremony of fair, Prince Sultan bin Salman said it is not just an antiquities exhibition but rather an introduction of a country the Koreans have acknowledged that it has contributed to building of the economy of an advanced Korea. He cast light on the depth in history of both civilizations of Korea and Arabs, going back to thousands of years. He recalled that the eastern trade was taking the Arabian route to reach the west, a project should be revived to deliver east Asia products to Africa and beyond. The Korean friends have acknowledged that Saudi Arabia has played a historic role in providing revenues for Korean construction companies in the early 1080s to build a strong economy of their country, Prince Sultan said, citing a Korean documentary book as saying. It is the first civilizational cultural expo in its size to be held Korea, he added. He also cited the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as often telling his audience that development is also based on non-material constructional projects, topped by respect of values, appreciation of legacy and culture and deriving of historic lessons for the building of the future. South Korea, is the second leg of the exhibit after China, following announcement of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, that ushered in the beginning of the exhibition tour in Asia.
