The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet s session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. The Cabinet expressed at the outset of the session its congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the occasion of the second anniversary of his ascension to the throne and what has been achieved during the last two years for the Kingdom of national and developmental accomplishments in various fields, as well as of firm and just positions at the international political arena . The Cabinet commended the State s general budget for the fiscal year 1438/1439AH, 2017 G., for its sufficient strength to cope with economic and financial challenges as a result of prudent fiscal policies taken by the State and its determination to move forward to enhance the elements of the national economy through the Kingdom s Vision 2030 and its executive programs according to a comprehensive reform vision to transfer the Kingdom to more comprehensive and broader horizons. The Cabinet appreciated the leadership s seeking through this budget and its programs to improve the efficiency of capital and operational expenditures in the State, strengthen public finances and enhance their sustainability, praising the King s directive that all should be keen on implementing this budget very carefully to achieve the aspirations of the leadership in a comprehensive and balanced development and improve the services being provided to citizens. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet appreciated the King s order to organize a popular campaign in all regions of the Kingdom for relief of the Syrian people, his directive to allocate one hundred million riyals for the campaign, his donation of SR 20 million and the donation of the Crown Prince with an amount of SR 10 million and the Deputy Crown Prince with SR 8 million, which embody the keenness of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the sufferings of Syrian brothers, especially the displaced from Aleppo and other areas who have been displaced due to their difficult living conditions, commending the great response shown by all segments of citizens to the campaign to provide help and standing by Syrian brothers. --More
