Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz, Al-Sharq and Al-Youm newspapers commented on the historical Gulf tour of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to a number of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States as it is gaining great importance at regional and international level due to the pivotal and major role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it is considered as a cornerstone of the pillars of Gulf and Arab security system. The papers said that the Kingdom represents a large entity working for the benefit of the peoples of the GCC member countries, and seeks to strengthen the ties of brotherhood, where the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is scheduled to discuss with the leaders of the GCC member states the regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to attending the 37th session of the GCC Supreme Council to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The papers considered that the historic tour reflects the depth of relationships among the GCC member states, which have been evolving and progressing strategically at all levels, particularly in light of the historical junctures that have been experiencing by Arab Gulf region, Arab region and the world.
