Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of topics and issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper wrote under the title ''Lausanne's Failure and Fate of Syrians'' saying that, as expected, Lausanne meeting on the Syrian file concluded its work without any results, in light of the complete contradiction between the United States and Russian visions about the position towards the Syrian regime and opposition factions. It considered that this failure is not surprising, but that was expected from all parties, which simply means that the expectations of the activation of the talks in search of a peaceful solution, the delivery of aid to those affected by the blockade, stopping deadly air raids and developing a solution plan and a strategy to halt the conflict have completely finished. Okaz explained that optimists have to wait for a quasi-solution out of London's next meeting, while the realists believe that the international community, particularly the major powers are dealing without humanity with this file and looking for their own and regional interests first. It concluded by saying that this tragic end to the file of talks on the Syrian conflict confirms that the conscience of the world doesn't care about what is happening in the world and that Syrians should know that saving their people and their homeland are their responsibility, and they have to unify the ranks of their opposition, because this is the only solution on the horizon. --More
