Turkey's unemployment rate dropped to 10.1 per cent in March, down 0.5 percentage points from the same month last year, dpa cited government data as showing Wednesday. The number of people employed grew by about 1 million, year-on-year, Turkstat reported. The news follows recent gross domestic product (GDP) figures which surprised on the upside, signaling economic growth. The government has also launched significant programmes to support employment among new entrants to the labour force.
