The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has completed the ratification procedures of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of World Trade Organization (WTO). Ministry of Commerce and Investment announced that it decided to deposit the Agreement with the WTO to be the second Arab country to notify the WTO of that. In a statement today, the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Alqasabi commended the Cabinet's decision yesterday, on Monday to ratify the Trade Facilitation Agreement within the framework of the World Trade Organization to become the second Arab state to announce ratification of this multilateral agreement and deposit it with the Organization in accordance with the established procedure. He stressed that the Trade Facilitation Agreement is one of the most important agreements in the multilateral trading system in the WTO, and was one of the most important outcomes of the 09th WTO Ministerial Conference held in Bali, Indonesia, by the end of 2013.
