The Saudi Arabian Permanent Mission to the United Nations held here on Wednesday a meeting with UN permanent representatives and delegates of the Asian Group countries and the Pacific region to present Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Seif, the candidate of the Kingdom for the membership of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The meeting was held in presence of the Saudi Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Adviser Saad bin Abdullah Al-Saad who delivered a speech in which he highlighted the kingdom's efforts for protect the rights of the persons with disabilities. For his part, Dr. Al-Seif spoke about the Kingdom's plans in the treatment of the persons with the special needs, as well as his personal experience with disability.
