Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt, the Kingdom's permanent representative to the Arab League, and also dean of the Arab diplomatic corps accredited to Egypt, said today that the historic visit recently-concluded by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Egypt has achieved its required goals and built on the strong ties binding the two sisterly countries. In press remarks, he stated that the level of relations between the Kingdom and Egypt was upgraded to an alliance between them. He said the warm reception accorded to the King during the visit, particularly the unprecedented one at the House of Representatives, has confirmed the amicability, respect and appreciation of the Egyptian people for the monarch's love to Egypt and its people. He added that the honorary doctorate degree awarded to the monarch is in recognition of his regional and international great personality and his role in the service of Arab and Islamic issues. He concluded that the results of the visit would be seen soon as per the numerous agreements and memorandums of understanding signed during the visit.
