Central African Republic elects president

Voters in the Central African Republic (CAR) went to the polls to elect a new president on Sunday, dpa reported.
The 2 million eligible voters have the choice in the run-off vote between two former prime ministers, Anicet Georges Dologuele and Faustin Archange Touadera, who garnered the most votes in the first round at the end of December.
Voters are also trying for the second time to elect a new parliament on Sunday after December 30 polls were declared invalid owing to irregularities.
Results are not expected for two weeks.
