Minister of Culture and Information: SPA will broadcast by end of year in 10 languages

Minister of Culture and Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Press Agency Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi expressed his delight for launching the new portal and identity of SPA, indicating that this step is an extension of the media march of SPA that has evolved since its inception until today.
In a press statement after his inauguration of the new portal and identity of SPA, he said that the Saudi Press Agency is continuing the march of great professionals who worked to make SPA a training center for Saudi media men, and today it is launched in several languages including Chinese, Russian and Persian, and by the end of this year, it will reach 10 languages in order to convey the reality of the kingdom's news and activities in all honesty and transparency and stop attempts to confuse the people who follow news of the kingdom.
The minister said that the Saudi Press Agency entered into two new experiences of broadcasting in the Spanish language to cover the fourth summit of Arab countries and South America, and in the Turkish language to cover the twentieth summit of the Group of 20 which was held in Turkey and was able through them to highlight the positions of the kingdom in a distinctive way.
The minister noted the interest of the Ministry of Culture and Information to support the presence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia abroad under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud to show the good image of kingdom in all countries of the world, stressing that there is a plan to strengthen the presence of SPA in a number of countries in the world in order for the country's image abroad to be expressive and different by the media men abroad.
He added that SPA will have the ability to transmit live broadcast when it moves to its new headquarters, and this will provide constant live transmission for most social events or political events held in the kingdom. He pointed out that the developmental trend of the Ministry of Culture and Information is also focused on radio and television commission as there is a new tendency at the commission through Alekhbariah news channel to broadcast its material in several languages, including the Persian language on which there is training within the Ministry of Culture and Information, and in the coming months, there will be achievements, he said.
The Minister of Culture and Information said that internally and externally, the kingdom deserves a strong and heard voice, and time is very appropriate for this change and there are more than five initiatives on this subject not only scholarships for employees, but also to work on very wide projects in the countries in which the voice of the kingdom need to be higher, pointing out that there are contacts with the Saudi Journalists' Association, and studies conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Information in this area, in addition to holding workshops during the next two weeks to support this trend.
