Sharq, said the alliance between the Houthi group and Ali Abdullah Saleh is, since its inception, an unholy alliance as it was based on a short-while interest so that Saleh could restore his lost power while the Houthis continue to tighten their grip on Sanaa. The paper recalled that today's allies were yesterday's enemies who fought six wars but, at last, agreed to disturb the institutional state, and reject the national dialogue as they realized that any peaceful political process would automatically lead to their departure from the center. The paper reported that most recently a quarrel took place between militias from the two sides in Zamar province, central Yemen, an incident seen as signaling the expanding difference between them.
