The Security spokesman of the Interior Ministry said that at 6,30 pm on Monday 27/1/1437 AH while a traffic patrol was performing its duties at Alkhwaildieh district in Qatif, it came under heavy fire from a farming area near the district resulting in the injury of the assistant of the commander of traffic patrol and two passers-by (of the Indian nationality). A citizen's car was also hit without injuring its driver, he added. The Security spokesman explained that the injured were taken to the hospital and they are now in stable condition, pointing out that the security authorities immediately began criminal investigation and procedures. The Ministry of the Interior called on anyone who has information about the perpetrators of this cowardly terrorist act to report them by calling phone number 990. It warned against providing any kind of help to them or to any person of the wanted whose names were announced on 08/02/1433 AH.
