Jordan's trade deficit narrowed by 14.8 percent during the first five months of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, a report issued by Statistics Department said. It added that the trade deficit balance in May stood at JD3.6 billion indicating that the exports coverage of imports stood at 37.3 percent compared to 36.3 percent for the same period of 2014. The report showed a decline in the national exports by 12.2 percent as well as a decrease in the imports by 13.4 percent reaching JD5.8 billion. The value of re-exports accounted for JD3.1 billion, a drop of 2.4 percent during the same period of 2014, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted the figures as showing.
