Greece's creditors on Tuesday examined a new set of Greek proposals aimed at rescuing the country from the brink of bankruptcy, before a key meeting of eurozone finance ministers scheduled for the following evening. According to dpa, the new proposals, submitted hours before an emergency eurozone summit on Monday, have been broadly welcomed by leaders and officials as a basis to reach a possible deal with Athens later this week, despite warnings that tough work still lies ahead. Time is running out for Greece to agree reforms with its creditors - the European Commisison, the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) - in order to access 7.2 billion euros (8.1 billion dollars) in bailout aid. All efforts are now focused on reaching a deal before the European share of Greece's rescue package expires on June 30.
