At least 25 people were killed after a bus packed with 40 passengers crashed into a ditch in south-western Bangladesh early Thursday, dpa cited police as saying. Nineteen passengers died at the scene as the bus skidded off the road and hit a tree by a highway in Faridpur district, more than 80 kilometres south-west of capital Dhaka, police officer Belal Hossain said. The cause of the accident was not known.
