AlHijjah 3, 1435, Sep 27, 2014, SPA -- Chelsea maintained their three-point lead at the top of the English Premier League on Saturday after a confident 3-0 win over Aston Villa, dpa reported.
On a day when Manchester United's Wayne Rooney scored and was sent off for a cynical foul in a 2-1 win over West Ham, Southampton stayed
in touch in second as they beat Queens Park Rangers.
Frank Lampard scored his fourth goal in a week as Manchester City moved up to third with a 4-2 win at Hull while Arsenal are fourth despite being held 1-1 by Tottenham.
At Stamford Bridge, Oscar, Diego Costa and Willian scored the goals as Chelsea ran out comfortable winners over Villa, who dropped to
fifth.
