King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed by telephone today with U.S. President Barack Obama the latest developments in the region, particularly the situation in Gaze and the regional and international efforts being exerted to reach a durable truce to end the sufferings of the people in the enclave. In a press statement issued in Amman, the Jordanian monarch warned from the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and urged the world community, particularly the United States, to intensify endeavors to pave the way for reviving the peace process. During the conversation, they also discussed the situations in Iraq and Syria.
