At least four people were killed and 10 injured when in a fire at a hotel in northern India Saturday, dpa cited police as saying. The incident occurred in Jammu city when the guests were asleep, local police officer Jitender Singh said. "Four people were burnt alive in the tragedy. Their bodies were recovered from rooms after the fire was controlled," he said. "The blaze sparked panic. Two guests broke open windows and jumped out of the three-storey building sustaining injuries." Police and firefighters rescued others trapped in the hotel. Eight more people suffered burn injuries and were admitted hospital. Police were investigating the cause.
