Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Foreign Minister, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Public Library (KAPL) and Chairman of the Council of Trustees of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques International Prize for Translation, today patronized a ceremony to announce the laureates of the prize in its seventh version which was held at the headquarters of KAPL in the attendance of a big number of dignitaries and representatives of diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom. Addressing the elite gathering, Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz said the prize has made great strides in its domain of taking care of translation and translators from all over the world, citing its visits to seven world-class cities including Riyadh, Casablanca, Paris, Beijing, Berlin and Brazilian city of Sao Polo. He drew the attention that the prize was based on the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques that translation and understanding of others is the base of knowledge exchange and successful dialogue. He added that the interest in translation movement in the past has yielded great development and understanding among different civilizations and cultures, leading to collective improvement in cultural exchanges and industry. Ascending the podium, Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muaamar, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and General Supervisor of the KAPL, said the prize has scored a record turnout from researchers all over the world, citing that in the last version 154 from 18 countries in 13 languages have taken part in the contest, congratulating the new winners on their new titles. --More 22:57 LOCAL TIME 19:57 GMT تغريد
