The European Commission is pledging a further 365 million euros (505.4 million dollars) to Ukraine, to help stabilize the country and boost civil society, according to the European Union's executive, according to AP. "With today's assistance package we are encouraging and supporting the Ukrainian authorities to continue with reforms and in the process of inclusive national development," said EU Neighbourhood Policy Commissioner Stefan Fule. The bulk of the funding is aimed at helping the government in "addressing short-term economic problems and preparing for in-depth reform," in light of agreements to forge closer political and economic ties to the EU, the commission said.
