Nepalese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Udaya Raj Pandey honored yesterday Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Fahd for his achievement in ascension to the summit of Mount Everest amounting to 8,850 meter height. In a speech on this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the Prince on this achievement of ascending to the highest peak in the world in spite of difficult climate which is one of the coolest in the world where the temperature drops at the top of the mountain to minus 50 degrees Celsius, praising strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Nepal. For his part, Prince Bandar expressed his happiness to raise the Saudi flag on the highest peak as the second Saudi climbing up the highest mountain in the world and the first Saudi succeeds in arriving at all seven summits, which is the highest mountain in all seven continents.
