Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. Under the title "Saudi Media, Fancy, Challenges and Responsibility" , Alyoum newspaper pointed to a speech delivered at the 4th Media Forum which was patronized the day before yesterday evening, by Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern region in which he identified the Saudi Media's responsibility nowadays indicating a lot of its duties towards society, spreading knowledge, culture of enlightenment and the consolidation of good values, in addition to highlighting the mega development projects being carried out by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince. Alyoum also cited the Prince' speech in which he raises an important issue and inevitable requirement in which the Saudi media faces many challenges in more than one aspect. The first of these requirements is Saudi national identity and Islamic law based-society, making imperative that the Saudi media has to be objective and confident. It quoted his confirmation that the Kingdom is facing these days an escalation of a relentless propaganda war, designed to tarnish its image and disregard its positions, calling on Saudi media to re-establish a new media strategy for the Saudi information, taking into account the new methods, nature of the mass media and the requirements of media profession and its professionalism. --More 11:18 LOCAL TIME 08:18 GMT تغريد
