Police say two people were injured in southern Albania when a gunman attacked a bus in an apparent robbery attempt. A 25-year-old man was hospitalized with life threatening injuries while a 19-year-old woman was being treated for cuts from broken glass following the attack near city of Tepelene, 190 kilometers (120 miles) south of capital Tirana, AP quoted police as saying. Sixteen passengers were on the bus traveling from Athens to Tirana, the Albanian capital. Passengers told local news media they believed the attack had been an attempted ambush by robbers in a mountainous stretch of the highway. Police said they are searching the area for suspects but have made no arrests.
