Dozens of vehicles carrying emergency aid from the U.N. World Food Program are making their way under French military escort to the capital of Central African Republic. According to AP, some of the 100 trucks began arriving Monday from neighboring Cameroon after concerns about violence along the road to Bangui had blocked the U.N. from delivering urgently needed supplies. The first group of about 30 vehicles was greeted in the PK26 neighborhood by Rwandan and French forces, who escorted them to their destination.
