The 3rd ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States and China is concluded here today. Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah led the GCC delegation to the meeting and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi led the Chinese side. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, GCC Secretary General, and delegations of the member states participated in the meeting. In his speech, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said that this meeting is an opportunity to enhance strong relations between the two sides, describing this relation as an active and important contribution to achieve regional and international stability and security. "The GCC considered China a perfect strategic partner and pinned high hopes on its political positions that support stability and cooperation in the regional countries," Sheikh Sabah said. During the meeting, the two sides signed an action plan for strategic dialogue between the GCC states and China during the period 2014-2017 in order to promote friendship relations between the two sides in the areas of politics, economy, trade, investment, technical field, education, culture, environment, energy, health and sports.
