At least six people, including two police officers, were killed Wednesday when a bomb placed on a bicycle went off near a police checkpoint in eastern Afghanistan, an official said according to dpa. The bombing injured 13 civilians and occurred in a busy area in Pol-e-Alam in Logar province, Din Mohammad Darwish, a spokesman for its governor, said. In Kabul, two rockets landed inside the US embassy compound but there were no casualties, the embassy said according to dpa.
