In reference with what have been circulated by the Russian Novosti news agency on 21 November 2013, citing a statement ascribed to the Assistant to the Russian President Yuri Oshakov, commenting on the conversation that took place between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Russian President and claiming that the Kingdom has shown readiness to give a hand, in order to hold Geneva 2 conference, etc., a Saudi official source defies the statement as baseless and unfounded, part and parcel, and that the Kingdom is sticking, firmly, to its declared stance towards the Syrian crisis.
