IV News Agencies World Congress discusses new market products and services/Sessions

In continuation of discussions they started at Ritz Carlton hotel in Riyadh earlier today, participants in the IV News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC), discussed the issue of new market products and services in the presence of Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), and a host of presidents, Chief Executive Officers and Directors General of news agencies and senior officials of information technology and communications institutions around the world.
The session included Bruce Davidson, CEO of Australian Associated Press as Rapporteur, and each of Gary Pruitt, President and CEO of the Associated Press, Steven Schwartz , Global Managing Director of Reuters Media, Emmanuel Hoog, President and CEO of Agency France -Press, Jose Antonio Vera, President and CEO of Agency EFE and Sergey Mikhaylov, Director General of Ital-Tass ,Moscow.
In a paper he presented at the session, Schwartz of Reuters dealt with ways of using data and data industry to promote news, react to the coming news, monitor the public's reaction besides developing the products that might serve the users of social contact channels and define the type of choice.
Another paper read by Mikhaylov of the Russian news agency reviewed the modern developing strategies and their presence in the fields of news agencies' products and services marketing, casting light on the issues of the size of challenges they are facing in the modern world and day-to-day life as well as the development of information action in the field of new means of the media, social contact networks and internet through the modern smart devices.
He also underscored the importance of diversifying the sources of following the news, searching for advanced ways and alternatives and using modern technologies, expanding the awareness and capabilities of news agencies journalists, in addition to widening the room for forming the news products and services, the diversified means and the production and distribution of the contents as well as the credibility in transmitting the news in different modern media means.
