AlHijjah 25, 1434, Oct 30, 2013, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called for immediate implementation of all decisions issued by the United Nations especially the decisions of the Human Rights Council and the adoption of practical measures to ensure respect for the fundamental rights of Palestinian refugees and internally displaced persons to return to their homes and be compensated for losses and damages they have suffered over the years. In a speech here yesterday during a session of the Universal Periodic Review of the human rights situation of the Human Rights Council, the Kingdom's Representative Mishaal Al-Otaibi called for stopping criminal proceedings against Palestinian children in military courts, ensuring that children are not detained, taking immediate measures to ban the policies and practices that affect the population of Palestinians living in the occupied territories, and the prohibition of practices and policies of apartheid , which affect the Palestinians in the occupied Palestine, including East Al-Quds by continuing to build settlements. The Kingdom stressed ensuring that all Palestinians shall enjoy their cultural, social and religious rights as contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, shall be allowed access to places of worship according to the Fourth Geneva Convention, as well as the free movement of persons and goods within the occupied State of Palestine and with the outside world.
