Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques orders the opening of Phase I of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expansion project of the holy grand mosque 2 Jeddah
the capacity of the nave area at 20,000 perambulator per hour 2- the capacity of the ground floor at 5,000 perambulator per hour 3- the capacity of the first floor at 15,000 perambulator per hour 4- the capacity of the rooftop at 30,000 perambulator per hour in addition to the temporary Mataf area at a capacity of 2,000 perambulator per hour. All floors were equipped with lighting and ventilation devices and were provided with microphones, camera control systems, fire combat tools, and a chain of escalators to lift the people from and to the nave of the mataf directly. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' expansion project is Haram history's largest ever as it affords an additional total of 1,300,000 sq.m., that accommodates 52 gates, four minarets, movable key tomb, 120 elevators in addition to the security and health services as well as the transport stations, tunnels, and other infrastructure associated to the mosque on an area that exceeds 1,000,000 million sq.m.
