AlQa'dah 5, 1434, Sep 11, 2013, SPA -- The World Economic Forum's "summer Davos" opened in the north-eastern Chinese city of Dalian on Wednesday with a focus on "meeting the innovation imperative" in Asia, according to DPA. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang was scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on the ruling Communist Party's planned economic reforms later Wednesday. Speaking to business executives in Dalian on Tuesday, Li said China faced "risks and challenges" but was capable of restructuring its economy to sustain rapid expansion. Klaus Schwab, the founder of the forum, said China needed to promote more innovative and inclusive growth to sustain its long-term prosperity. "Innovation will play an increasingly important role in driving transformation, and this can only come about through growth that is inclusive of all stakeholders in society," Schwab told the government's Xinhua news agency. More than 1,500 delegates were scheduled to attend the three-day forum, organizers said.
