Jordanian Minister of Culture Barakat Awajan met here today with his Palestinian counterpart Anwar Abu Aisha to discuss ways to bolster joint cooperation in the cultural field. In a statement, Awajan said "The importance of these meetings lies in the signing of an executive agreement between the two countries to support various programs and projects, exchange expertise and support Palestinian cultural infrastructure at all levels and in all fields." He noted that the agreement, which will be signed on Thursday, will enhance the Palestinian cultural identity in the face of Israeli occupation and plans that were aimed at obliterating the identity and civilization of the Palestinian people and their just cause, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
