Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr congratulated Muslims in Australia and all over the world on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. He said in a statement issued today that Australia is home to about half a million Muslims and, Ramadan provides an opportunity for all of us to contemplate on how to achieve tolerance, prosperity and mutual respect in our communities.
