Within the framework of the campaign to restore antiquities directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region and Chairman of Tourism Development Council in the region, has honored a number of princes and citizens for handing over antiquities to the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in the presence of Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Vice Governor of Riyadh region. Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz honored Late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah bestow mercy upon his soul) for presenting an antiquity dated back to the fourth century BC. The honoring memento was received by Prince Naif bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Commander of the National Guard was honored for presenting a range of valuable artifacts of the civilization of south Arabian Peninsula. The memento was received on his behalf by Prince Abdullah bin Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz also honored Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities for presenting a set of rare coins. He also honored a number of citizens in the Riyadh region, who handed over antiquities during the last two years.
