The 19 miners trapped overnight in a copper mine in Poland following an earthquake were found alive early Wednesday and were being brought to the surface, the mine's operator said. The men became trapped at a depth of around 1,000 metres at Rudna mine in Polkowice when the magnitude-4.7 earthquake struck. All 19 miners were found alive and none received life-threatening injuries, spokesman for operator KGHM Dariusz Wyborski was quoted as saying by DPA.
