Following its 30th conference, the Council of the Arab Interior Ministers issued a statement in Riyadh today regarding combating terrorism. The Council renewed condemnation of terrorism in all its forms or sources. The Council intends to continue its efforts in combating and addressing the terrorism's causes and mobilizing all efforts and capabilities to eradicate it and strengthening Arab cooperation in this field as well as in the field of organized crime, announcing condemnation of all forms of supporting and funding terrorism and its rejection of extortion, threats and ransom demanded by terrorist groups to finance their crimes. The Council called upon all States to abide by the Security Council resolutions in this regard. The Council also condemned all acts of terrorism against the member states, stressing strong condemnation of the terrorist attack at Amenas gas complex in Algiers in 16 January 2013.
