Riyadh today hosted the fifth preparatory meeting for the International News Agencies World Congress, attended by the President of the third International Conference of the Congress Juan Manuel Fonrouge, who is also the Director of Telam News Agency of Argentina, Uffe Riis Sorensen, the Secretary General of the Congress, Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein, the Director General of the Saudi Press Agency and members of the congress. At the outset of the meeting, which was held at Holiday Inn Hotel in Riyadh, Al-Hussein welcomed the guests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishing them a good stay. He lauded their constructive efforts and effective contributions to the successful march of the congress. SPA Director General also highlighted the preparedness of his organization to host the fourth international conference for international news agencies scheduled for November this year in Riyadh. Then, the meeting reviewed the issues on the agenda and other conference-related matters. A photo-session was held at the end of the meeting to mark the event.
