Editorials in today's newspapers highlighted a number of current issues. Okaz newspaper commented on U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's visit to the Gulf saying that during the visit, he will listen to the advice of partners and friends and should expect to hear views that are quite different from those of the U.S. Al-Bilad newspaper wrote again on preparations by Madinah to celebrate its festivities as the capital of Islamic culture 2013. On the Syrian file, Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted the Syrian people's desire to return to normal life and their insistence on getting rid of the current regime, even if it involves a prolonged battle. Al-Yaum newspaper urged the Syrian president Bashar Al-Asad to wake up from his delusions to realize that he is riding the wrong train, and that his position and responsibilities require him to act as a responsible and loyal patriot and not a mere Iranian puppet. --More
