The cabinet also praised the organization of the International Conference for the development of Quranic studies organized by Quranic Studies and Sciences Chair at King Saud University in Riyadh. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the Cabinet, then, continued discussion of its agenda and issued the following decisions: First: After reviewing the 151st record of the meeting of the Higher Committee for Administrative Organization on the study of the organizational aspects of the draft bylaw of the organization of the work of Board of Directors of medical cities and specialized hospitals of the Ministry of Health, the Cabinet approved a number of measures including the following: First - Creation of a unified board of directors called "Board of Directors of medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health." Its role shall be limited to the medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health. Second - With no prejudice to the functions of the Board of Health Services approved by regulations, the Board of Directors of medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health shall be the dominant authority over all matters of the medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health; the conduct of their affairs; and making all the necessary decisions to achieve their purposes. Third- The board shall have a general secretariat called "General Secretariat of the Board of Directors of the medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health." It shall carry out the organizational and administrative arrangements and technical support that contribute to the success of the work of the board. Fourth - Within the overall budget of the Ministry of Health, a special budget called the budget of the secretariat of the Board of Directors of medical cities and specialized hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health shall be approved. It shall spend on the work of the board and its committees and rewards of its members and its secretariat in accordance with the financial rules and regulations in force. Fifth - Each medical city and specialized hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Health shall have an executive director general appointed by the Minister of Health.
