Khober, Saudi Arabia, Rabi'I 29, 1434, February 10, 2013, SPA -- Newly-appointed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and after having taken the oath before the monarch as Governor of the Eastern Region, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, arrived in the Eastern Region this evening to assume office. At King Abdulaziz airbase in Al-Dhahran, he was received by Prince Juluwe bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region; Prince Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Undersecretary of the National Guard for the Eastern Sector; Prince Badr bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Juluwe, Governor of Al-Ihsa and a number of princes. He was also received by senior civil and military officials. He was accompanied by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. In a statement upon arrival, he thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the royal confidence he bestowed upon him, announcing him as Governor of the Eastern Region, appealing to Allah Almighty to help him undertake his responsibilities under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premeir, Advisor to and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He reminded that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has repeatedly advised him to take care of his people.
